I've been blogging for a while now on various different platforms, for different people and documenting different things.
This time, it's going to be all about me, and the exciting new chapter I am about to embark upon. Earlier this year I made a career changing decision; I decided to focus my skills and achievements into what I am best at, and enrolled on a PGCE course, where I will train to become a fully qualified Design and Technology teacher within a secondary school.
Upon telling friends and family about my new venture, it's safe to say I've had a mixed response to what I'm about to undertake. Sadly most of these comments included "Are you mad?" "Secondary kids are awful" and "How will you think of quick comebacks that won't get you into trouble?". The thing is, I actually like D&T, and I think I'll be a damn good teacher.
I really want to use this first post to thank those who have actually given me a good response, and who are supporting me through this change in my life. I won't mention names, but you know who you are :)
So, here goes. Here is my completely open, no detail spared blog of my life as a trainee teacher...
